Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started working with dogs when I was just 15, with a Saturday job as a kennel maid at a local animal sanctuary.
That first job led to five years working in the dog world, from quarantine kennels to working alongside some of the UK's leading breeders and Crufts-winning dogs. I was lucky enough to travel, learn an enormous amount and completely immerse myself in a world I loved.
I went on to build a long career in social care, but eventually life brought me full circle.
Walking my own dogs and spending more time outdoors reminded me how much I'd missed working with animals. It felt like the right time to return to something I'd always loved.
And that's where The Mutt Struts came from.
Today, whether I'm out walking a dog or popping in to care for someone's much-loved pets at home, I genuinely love what I do. I know how much trust it takes to hand someone your lead, your house key and, most importantly, the care of a member of your family.
Every animal is different, and getting to know their individual personalities, quirks and routines is one of the best parts of my job.
For me, caring for your pets isn't just a job — it's taken me right back to where I started, doing something I've always loved.

At The Mutt Struts, I know that every pet — and every household — is different.
From regular or occasional Pet Pop-Ins for dogs, cats and other household pets, to dog walking tailored to your dog's individual needs, my aim is to provide friendly, reliable care that fits around you and your pet.
Pop-Ins are perfect for pets who need a toilet break, feeding, fresh water, medication, playtime or simply some company and fuss while you're out. They're also a great option for older dogs, puppies and dogs who don't necessarily need another walk but would benefit from a friendly face during the day.
Cats, rodents, reptiles, fish and birds are very welcome too — allowing your pets to remain happy and comfortable in their own home while you're away.
Whatever their paws, claws, fins or feathers, they'll be cared for as if they were my own.
